Our 2nd graders were challenge seekers this week! They compared up to 5 different numbers with 3 and 4 digits in word problems posted around the room. They were excited to level up once they mastered one type of problem, and self reflected on their level of understanding.

Check out how we make learning fun in The Tiger Den Diner this week! 4th graders in Mrs. Eggleston and Ms. Caldwell's classes applied their learning of adding and subtracting decimals as they took food orders and calculated change to customers.

Volunteer Afternoon Tea! Calling all Theiss volunteers!! Join us Friday, September 12th in the Theiss cafeteria at 2:30 PM for a light afternoon tea. The PTO would like to welcome our volunteers for the 25-26 school year. Come mingle and get to know your fellow volunteers. There will be a brief presentation sharing information about the many opportunities coming up this year. We hope to see you there! *Check in through the front office.

Congrats to Mrs. Jonsdottir's and Ms. Elias's classes for winning the weekend challenge and earning a dance party! We more than doubled our total over the weekend and are close to $10,000! Thank you for donating to our amazing students for their acts of kindness.

Theiss Open House is this Thursday, September 4th from 5 - 7 PM! Teachers will present the same content at 2 sessions. Our PTO general meeting starts at 5:45. We will have activities booths in the cafeteria as you enter and exit. We will also have staff support for the Klein ISD app/Apptegy Rooms parent set up in the library during both sessions. We hope you will join us!

Klein ISD earned an A rating in the College, Career, and Military Readiness (CCMR) component of the Texas Education Agency’s 2025 A–F Accountability Ratings and maintained a B overall, rising from an 80 in 2023 to an 86 in 2025.

Since the TEA raised performance standards in 2023, the district has seen a 30% increase in A-rated schools, a 13% increase in B-rated schools, and a 55% decrease in C-rated schools, with no schools rated D or F. All five high schools and all ten intermediate schools earned an A or B, and students across Klein ISD earned 127 academic distinctions, a 37% increase since 2023.
