Our 2nd graders were challenge seekers this week! They compared up to 5 different numbers with 3 and 4 digits in word problems posted around the room. They were excited to level up once they mastered one type of problem, and self reflected on their level of understanding.
Check out how we make learning fun in The Tiger Den Diner this week! 4th graders in Mrs. Eggleston and Ms. Caldwell's classes applied their learning of adding and subtracting decimals as they took food orders and calculated change to customers.
Calling all Volunteers! Our PTO is hosting a Volunteer Tea social this Friday, 9/12 at 2:30. See the flyer for details.
Congrats to Mrs. Jonsdottir's and Ms. Elias's classes for winning the weekend challenge and earning a dance party! We more than doubled our total over the weekend and are close to $10,000! Thank you for donating to our amazing students for their acts of kindness.
Celebrations continue at Theiss with our Staff and Teacher of the Month! We are excited to announce Mr. Frank Mejia, one of our custodians, and Mrs. Decker, Kindergarten Teacher for being nominated by their colleagues this month for going above and beyond for kids! #bethereason #kleinfamily
